Nautical Inforgraphic Invitation

More often than not APS works directly with the bride throughout the design process but this time however, we had the pleasure of working mostly with the bride’s mother Cheryl – more affectionately known as the MOB But this was not the first time we worked together. Just a few months ago, APS helped her with her other daughter’s reception material and now she is marrying off her second daughter, Courtney. Can you imagine marrying off two daughters in one year and helping plan both?!  This MOB is not only absolutely lovely, but a saint in our book!

The couple is set to marry May 9th at the Annapolis Marriott Waterfront. The venue overlooks the Chesapeake Bay so they wanted to have a maritime feel to the invitations but them be more fun than formal by incorporating modern type treatments and graphical touches.

The invitation was enclosed in a navy sleeve enclosure. A double belly band of a gray-blue cotton tic weave fabric and navy and white striped bakers twine was wrapped around the enclosure and finished with a silver anchor charm.

The invitation design once pulled out of the sleeve had an infographic feel with bold type treatments and distinctively modern graphics in a palette of navy, gray and black.

Tucked and stacked in the back of the enclosure was the navy and white striped “Details” booklet, RSVP card and envelope. Here’s another example of a stacked invitation style.

The RSVP was designed almost as a mini infographic with “Ready to Dance the Night Away” and “Sorry have to Sit This One Out” as reply options. A light, almost periwinkle blue was incorporated in the RSVP to create a little contrast to the invitation.

Thank you to the MOB for being such a pleasure to work with and to the daughters for allowing APS to be a part of both of your days! XOXO
